Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Event To Feature A ‘Sweet Home’-Inspired Attraction

Scare fans, take note. Experience the world of Netflix’s ‘Sweet Home’ in real life for the first time via a horror attraction at Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 12.

Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights will be presenting its 12th edition in 2024 and there’s a new evil awaiting around the corner. The annual scare-fest will feature Netflix’s global television hit series ‘Sweet Home’ as one of its themed horror attractions this year.

This marks the third time Universal Studios Singapore will have a Netflix-themed haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights.

The first was based on the US supernatural hit ‘Stranger Things’ at Halloween Horror Nights 8 while the second was South Korean zombie apocalypse series ‘All of Us Are Dead’ for last year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Having a ‘Sweet Home’-themed haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights 12 is timely as the series broadcasted its third and final season on Netflix on 19 July 2024.

This feature attraction will follow the third and final season broadcast of ‘Sweet Home’. Coming to life as an inspired haunted house, it will be based on some of its most spine-chilling scenes and grotesque monsters from Season 1 and Season 2.

Part of the journey will have fans retracing the steps of characters through key locations in the Green Home apartment complex, including Cha Hyun-su’s apartment and the basement.

“We are very excited to be back with another haunted house collaboration with Netflix and to feature the world’s first horror attraction inspired by Sweet Home at Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 12,” said Markham Gannon, Director of Entertainment at Resorts World Sentosa.

“Every haunted house experience is our creative spin on the source material while staying true to its essence – and Sweet Home is no exception. Korean horror is something that resonates well with our fans and we can’t wait to take Halloween Horror Nights to new, frightful heights.”

“Sweet Home transports viewers into a realm ruled by mayhem and this haunted house will allow fans to experience it first hand,” said Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix. “Fans love losing themselves in the worlds they watch across the small screen, and now, they will literally be able to step into the chilling scenes and confront terrifying monsters inspired by the series.”

Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 12 will happen over 18 event nights on select dates from 27 September to 2 November. Tickets will go on sale on 13 August at the Halloween Horror Nights 12 dedicated website.
