Sweet, light and floral, The Macallan Harmony Collection Green Meadow delights the nose by way of its orangey and lemony citrus notes, then arrives the hints of wildflowers and that grassy, post-rain petrichor that is so distinctive for those of us living in the tropics, used to the aromas of fresh, wet grassy meadows and memories of cut honeydew. As distinctive as its flavour profile is its packaging; both the presentation box and bottle labels are made using discarded meadow cuttings, embracing the re-use of natural materials to create beauty from resources at the end of their lives. Each side of the presentation box also includes a photograph of The Macallan Estate, captured by Mary McCartney; and just when the liquid gold has made its way down your throat, you can set your admiration of the box aside and focus on a palate of lemon, barley sugars, creamy vanilla, almonds, and fresh oak. Ultimately, each sip reveals layer upon layer of nuances reflecting the rich and varied landscape from which it is inspired, before a long, smooth and fragrant finish.
The Macallan Harmony Collection Green Meadow is a travel exclusive whisky that is available at selected Lotte Duty Free stores in Singapore Changi Airport. An immersive and interactive pop-up experience at Changi Airport Terminal 1 Departure Hall is open to all travellers from 1 March to 10 April 2024. Visitors to the pop-up can look forward to a tasting of the limited-edition whisky and personalise their bottle with an exclusive gift-wrapping station. The pop-up also features interactive elements that allows visitors to learn more about Stella and Mary’s memories of Scotland and a scenting tray that brings you back to the meadows of Scotland.
