11 Bit Studios, the developer of haunting survival games like This War of Mine and Frostpunk, is back with yet another similarly crushing experience. This game will task players to build a city during a worldwide volcanic winter with the potential to destroy humanity.

Besides building the city and managing every aspect of it, players will have to make numerous moral and controversial choices to make sure the city survives. This game is made for people who do not back away from making tough decisions, so when you build your city, know that you will be up for some tough choices.

Flintlock: The Seige of Dawn

Genre: Action, Role-playing Game (RPG), Soulslike, Open World
Release date: 18 July 2024

This third-person action game puts players in the shoes of Nor Vanek, who is on a mission to save humanity, but to achieve this goal, she would have to fight the old gods. Players can use various melee weapons paired with several flintlock firearms; that’s where its name comes from.

It is set in an open world that has been divided into three different regions. Various side missions and challenging bosses await you in this new Soulslike.

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Genre: Action, Open-world, Role-Playing Game (RPG)

Dungeons of Hinterberg is a very beautiful action RPG. In this game, players explore a village named Hinterberg. As they explore it, they uncover various explorable dungeons with exciting puzzles, monsters to combat, and magic.

Best of all, players get around this village and its surrounding areas using snowboards, ziplines, etc. No doubt, its unique ideas make Dungeons of Hinterberg one of the most exciting titles from the Xbox Game Pass July 2024 lineup.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

For strategy fans out there, Kunitsu-Gami is a must-have title. Full of uniquely designed environments, characters and gameplay that is a blend of strategy and tower defence, this title is designed for a very specific kind of player base.

It even features a mechanic that changes gameplay depending on the time of the day.

These are the new Xbox Game Pass July 2024 releases. Even though it’s not a very long list of games, players will still find something unique and interesting in each of these titles.

While this list was noticeably missing any first-party titles Microsoft is working on several games that will make their way to Xbox Game Pass at a later date, games such as Awoved and Gears of War: E-Day have already been announced and there’s no doubt they will announce even more exciting titles at a later date.
