The game has been a long time coming
Fans, who have been keeping track, would know that Metroid Prime 4’s development was not uneventful. Initially, in 2017, Namco Bandai oversaw the development of this game, but Nintendo did not find their version of the game satisfactory.
This project was then handed over to Retro Studios, the developer responsible for working on the first three games in the series. This shift happened in 2019, meaning the game shown was developed by Retro Studios.

Nintendo’s upcoming sci-fi first-person game will be released in 2025. The publisher has not revealed any other information about its launch date yet.
