Beerfest Asia, the region’s largest craft beer festival, returns to Singapore once again from 11 to 14 July 2024 with more than 600 brews, including over 160 beers making their debut here.
Taking place at the Kallang Outdoor Arena, the four-day event will feature styles from a stout by former UFC champion Conor McGregor to a Japanese lager made with premium sake rice.
There will also be wines and spirits, food like burgers, American barbecue, and boozy ice cream, and live music at the cyberpunk-themed festival. On the last day, Beerfest Asia 2024 will allow pets in.
Highlights among the festival’s new beers include McGregor’s World’s Creamiest Stout Forged Irish Stout, which is pressurised with nitrogen and has a widget in the can to give it a silky texture. Japanese craft beer pioneer Hitachino Nest is showcasing a grapefruit lager, and Local brewery Sunbird is launching a pulut hitam imperial stout.
Patrons will get a chance to drink award-winning craft beers during the event. Koshihikari Rice Lager from Japan’s Swan Lake is brewed with a premium rice variety grown in Niigata and traditionally used for high-end sake. The Belgian Beer van Brugge Single Malt Whisky Infused is an amber beer made with Talisker whisky. It won the World’s Best Spirit Beer at the World Beer Awards in 2022.
For food, expect smashed patty burgers from the cocktail bar Employees Only and Texas-style barbecue ribs, brisket, and sandwiches by Smokey’s BBQ. Nothing But Cheeseburgers (NBCB) will be serving flame-grilled brioche burgers and onion rings, and High Bar Society will have alcoholic gelato with an ABV of six percent.
Over 30 live music performances will provide entertainment, including a large collection of tribute bands covering Abba, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and U2. On Sunday, homegrown act The Universal Blues Band (UBlues) will play a rock and blues set.
Entry ticket prices start from S$31 with one free beer. At the event, Grab users can get up to 15 percent off certain food and drink purchases from around 60 brands.
