While there is much anticipation over the Fall-Winter 2024 Men’s Workwear Capsule Collection by Pharrell Williams, the wait is mostly over because the pre-launch is now available worldwide.
Presented in January 2024, this collection begins with the confluence between Western workwear alongside the Louis Vuitton DNA. The result is a fusion between elegance and utility.
On the ready-to-wear front, expect workwear-inspired silhouettes paired with refinement, as demonstrated in suits in overdyed jacquards. Also look out for appliqué motifs on the pockets of trucker jackets, as well as other details such as turquoise-like buttons, pearls, embroideries, and studs.
For accessories, the Keepall 50 Toolbox stands out, and it harkens back to the Maison’s signature Keepall, but with a slight leaning towards utility this time. This new iteration pays homage to the toolbox that pervaded American workwear, and true to the spirit of that era, it also comes with a steel flask and cigarette case.
And finally, the pièce de résistance, the highly-anticipated collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Timberland. These new workwear boots reach pre-launch status today (18 July 2024) and Malaysians will have reason to rejoice as the outlet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be one of the few stores in the region to offer the collection once it launches on 8 August 2024.
For the footwear, fans will be able to choose from the two main lines that are the LV 6-Inch and the LV Boot. The LV 6-Inch bears a striking resemblance to the original Timberlands, with the highly-recognisable monogram embossed onto the opening and tongue. And for the LV Boot, varieties include an ankle boot, a ranger boot, a pull-on mid boot, and a pull-on harness boot.
There’s also the LV 6-Inch Exceptional Edition, only fifty of which will be released. It’s detailed with 18K gold hardware and comes in a bespoke Monogram leather and plexiglass shoebox with VVN trims presented on the Fall-Winter 2024 runway.
