Every four years, the world comes together to rally for their countries’ representatives as they compete in various categories. It has been a tradition since the first official Olympics were held in 1952, and in 2024, it’s no different.

This year, the number of competitors from Singapore totals to 22 athletes, who will participate in 11 sports out of the total 33. Here is how to support each of them at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

How to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics in Singapore

Officially, the Sports Authority of Thailand announced to have spent over THB 400 million, which covers the broadcasting rights and the operational costs. This was covered by the National Sports Development Fund, as well as private sectors with the government acting as primary supporter.

When are the 2024 Olympics happening?

The Paris Summer Olympics 2024 will take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024. Expect 33 sports and a whopping 329 events in total, with fairly new sports that include Breaking, Sport climbing, Skateboarding and Surfing.

When and where to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics

The Paris Olympic Games 2024 will commence on Friday, July 26 2024 at 1:30am SGT (7:30pm CET) at the Seine, with an opening ceremony that will see a parade of 10,500 athletes from around the world on 94 boats along a 6km route by the Seine.

How to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics on television

In Singapore, Mediacorp will provide 14 channels of Olympics coverage, including a daily television broadcast on Channel 5 and MeWatch. Coverage Expect a focus on Team SG athletes for the coverage, with sports like swimming, table tennis, and badminton in the spotlight.
