In an earnings call by its parent company Take-Two Interactive, the release window of GTA 6 was narrowed down from 2025 to Fall 2025. Yes, Grand Theft Auto 6 will oversee a late 2025 release, if everything goes well during its development.
Hence, all those who have been patiently waiting for protagonist Lucia and her adventures with the unknown second lead may need to hold on longer before Rockstar Games deems it fit to release the video game.

Based on the pattern we observed, there’s a greater chance that Rockstar Games could aim for a late September 2025 release window for Grand Theft Auto 6. A release in September is going to help Rockstar Games have a great last quarter in 2025 and bank on the festive season around the world.
That said, there are chances of a delayed release since new video games are often released with undetected bugs and issues, which need to be fixed by developers with subsequent patches. The controversial release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a stark reminder that big game publishers can get everything wrong despite building a lot of hype. With GTA 6, Rockstar Games would want to get it all right.
Hence, in the event of a delayed development/testing phase, Rockstar Games could push the GTA 6 release date to late November 2025, which still gives it a chance to eye good sales numbers ahead of the long winter holidays.
